Test Portfolio Performance in the 2010s

Dear member of my Family and Friends group,

I am glad to note your interest in my experiments with Swing Trading. This site is work in progress at this time, but I am adding content constantly, so you will see more as time progresses.

For now, I want to provide the info I promised, right here.

Seen below is the portfolio performance back testing data, much like what I wrote in my email to you.

As you can see from the chart, $10,000 capital on Jan 1, 2010 would have grown to $82,298.93. Or, a growth factor of roughly 8.23.

On comparison, the S&P posts a growth in the same period from 1,115.10 on Jan 1, 2010 to 3,230.78 on Dec 31, 2019 for growth factor of 2.90. This time, it’s at least positive, a growth.

As you can see, the swing trading strategy still comes up with a clear advantage.

Now, I need to make sure all of this is bullet proof!

That’s for another day.

Thank you for your interest.
